Arnold Bernard (Chico) Chicha

Mr. Arnold Bernard (Chico) Chicha, age 75, of Mio, passed away Monday, May 12th, 2008 at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Frank Beek officiating with military honors offered by The Luzerne American Legion Post # 162.

Chico was born on January 2, 1933 in Detroit to the late John & Freda (Mohr) Chicha. He served his country in The U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later moved to Mio, where he worked for and retired from The Michigan State Highway Department. He was a charter member of The Mio Dummy Club, a member of The Comins Eagles Club, The Bonehead Hunting Club, was a driver for The Amish Community and had played baseball on leagues in Comins and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching all kinds of sports.
Chico is survived by his long time companion Mary Ann Dierck; his children: Brian Chicha of Williamsburg; Craig (Tavia) Chicha of Fairview and Linda (Jay) Jagiello of Mio; Stepchildren: Mike Dierck of Carleton, OR; Karin Bowers of Mio and Darin Dierck of Mio. a sister, Mary Ann (Ed) Strynowski of Mount Clemens, MI; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in daeth by his parents and 1 brother: John Chicha.
He will be remembered as a great and loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
