Willis "Jim" Bugg

Willis James (Jim) Bugg, Jr., age 88, of Curran, MI, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at his home.

Jim was born in Pontiac, Mi to Willis J Bugg Sr & Laura Bugg. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Glacier. He enjoyed sharing stories of being at the South Pole.
After being discharged from the Navy he started his career in Prosthetics & Orthotics at Becker’s. After working there a short time he went to work at Wright & Filippis where he worked for 42 years as Prosthesis/Orthotist and General Manager before retiring in December 1999. He married Tonya November 20, 2006 After retiring Jim & Tonya  moved full time to Curran. He enjoyed helping his son Mike at his business in West Branch, Orthotech Orthopedics. Jim was an avid woodworker, beekeeper and antique tractor collector until the last few years.

Surviving are his wife Tonya; Children: Katherine (Jeff) Muzyk, Dan (Raquel) Bugg, Mike Bugg; Stepchildren: Melissa(Evan) Snyder, Rob Heumann; Grandchildren: Autumn, Alicia, Amanda, Alyssa, Alec, Noelle, Niki, Krissy, Marci, Michael, Kole, Brody, Luke, Avery, Jack. Alex, Max & Cam; Great-Grandchildren: Zoey, Ava, David, Anthony, Gianna, Jackson, Stella, Katie, Kane, Hudson, Boston & Tenley and sister Beverly Snyder.
He was preceded by son Teddy and parents

Visitation 11:00 AM until the Time of Funeral Services at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI with Jeff Muzyk officiating. Interment will follow at the Esmond Evergreen Cemetery in Hale, Michigan.
