Willie S. Dunn

Mr. Willie S. ""Bill"" Dunn, age 88, of Mio, passed away Friday September 5, 2008 at the Home at AuSable Valley Community in Fairview.
Visitation Monday, September 8, 2008 from 1- 4P.M.and from 7-9 P.M. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 10A.M. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 A.M. at the Mio Church of God with Pastor Mike Stadelmayer officiating. Interment will follow at Kittle Cemetery.
Mr. Dunn was born on September 18, 1919 to David W. and Anna B. (Barnett) Dunn in Anawalt, WV. He began working in the coal mines at age 14. He worked as a coal miner until he moved from Coal Mountain, WV to Ypsilanti, Ml. Willie worked briefly in the automotive and plastics industries, and then worked in warehousing and stores for the Bendix Aerospace Corporation until his retirement. He moved to Mio in the late 1970's. Willie had attended and was baptized at the New Beginnings Four Square Church. He will be remembered as an openly loving husband, father, and grandfather; and also for having a great sense of humor.
Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife Annie P. Dunn; his children: Delores (Don) Faust of Fairview, Ml and Delbert (Trudy) Dunn of Ypsilanti, Ml; his brothers and sisters: James Gracie, Tom, and Billy; 11 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Deborah Deer, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
