William Edwin Kirkum

William E. Kirkum, age 66 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
William was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on February 27, 1955 to Russell and Josephine (Smith) Kirkum. He graduated from Romeo High School with the Class of 1974 and worked as a painter in the automotive car parts industry. William settled in Mio in 2001, moving here from Romeo, MI. He truly loved the outdoors and was a passionate hunter and fisherman.
William is survived by his sons: James Kirkum and Brian (Ashley) Kirkum, both of Mio, MI; 4 sisters: , MI; Joanne Wiers of Romeo, MI; Bonnie (Steve) Rojeski of Berville, MI;Sandy Jacob of Armada, MI and Terri (Brian) Thibodeau of Shelby Twp.; 6 grandchildren: James Jr., Breanna, Braden, Jeremy, Andrew, and Madason; and 4 great-grandchildren: Leighanna, Temperance, Beckham, and Declan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kenny (Mary) Kirkum.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
