William W. Coats

Mr. William W. ""Bill"" Coats, age 67, of McKinley, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at his home.
Visitation Friday, November 23, 2007 from 4-9 P.M. Funeral Service on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Comins Mennonite Church with Pastor Kevin Salsbury officiating. Interment at Mio Cemetery.
Mr. Coats was born to Walter and Florence (Gray) Coats on September 26, 1940 and was raised in Detroit, Ml. Bill moved to Mio in 1971 and married Kathy on March 7, 1980 in Fairview. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Oscoda/Montmorency County Landfill. He was a member of the Comins Mennonite Church and the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding.
Mr. Coats is survived by his wife Kathy of McKinley; his daughter Kerry (Thomas) Yoder of Mulberry, FL; his sister Edith Jewell and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harold Coats, and his brother-in-law Pete Jewell.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the American Cancer Society in Bill's memory.
