Willard H. Largent

Mr. Willard H. Largent, age 84, of Fairview, passed away Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 at his residence.
Visitation Monday 1 - 7 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Funeral Services at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 29th, with Pastor James J. Durfee officiating with military honors offered by members of the Mio VFW Post # 4126. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio.
Willard was born on September 8, 1925 in Rochester, MI to John T. & Silvie R. (McKinstry) Largent.
He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Cpl in WW II. He move to West Branch, MI following the war, where he worked in an Oil Foundry and as a school custodian. He married Olive (Brown) Largent in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The couple moved to Mio in the summer of 1966, where he had worked for Kneeland Industries and Hoskins Manufacturing.
Willard was a member of The Luzerne Baptist Church Luzerne and Mio VFW Post 4126. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his special friend Laura Jacobs of Fairview; son Larry (Sharon) Largent of Mio; daughter Denise Priestley of Mio; 2 step daughters: Sharalyn King and LaVanda Birdsall; 2 sisters Zelda and Wanda; brother Norman ""Jack"" and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Olive and son Leonard.
