Vivian A. Miteen
Mrs. Vivian A. Miteen, age 93, of Mio, passed away Tuesday, July 10th, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center,.
Visitation Friday 1-9 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home and Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 10:00 AM until the time of Services at 11:00 AM at The Mio Church of God with Pastors Mike Stadelmayer and William Miller officiating. Vivian's sons and grandsons to honor her as pall bearers with interment at Kittle Cemetery, Mio.
Vivian was born in Mio on Dec. 10, 1913 to the late Elmer G. & Luella Bell (Smith) Stevens. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at Mio AuSable Schools for 14 years and Fairview Schools for 13 years. She taught Sunday School since she was 20 years old. She was an active member of The Mio Church of God, where she had been a certified lay minister. Vivian was also a member of The National Education Association and The National Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening.
Surviving are her sons: John (Della) Miteen, William (Anna) Miteen and Dennis (Ruth) Miteen, Sr.; sisters: Lillian Younger and Bernice Humphrey; 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Winston W. Miteen in 1978, sisters Grace Pemberton, Jean Hanson, Gladys Schrott, Alice Jensen and Ila Dickinson and brothers: Preston, Jack, Joe, Glen, Arnold and Eldon Stevens.
