Violet Wave (Gunn) Castano
Mrs. Violet Wave Castano, age 90, of Lutz, Florida, formerly of Flint, Michigan, died Thursday, October 19th, 2006 while in the company of family members at her home.
Visitation Wednesday, Oct 25th 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Funeral Services at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 26th, at the funeral home with Reverend Marcel A. Lamb of The Mio United Methodist Church officiating. Interment at Kittle Cemetery, Mio.
She retired from Fisher Body Flint, MI in 1977 and has resided in Florida for the past 17 years. She belonged to, and was a past president of, The Auto City Eagles 3 485. She loved to sew and tend her many flowers and also enjoyed Bingo.
Surviving are her daughters: Anne Trickey of Millington, MI; Denise (Peter) Smith of Goodrich, MI
Anita Gunn of Florida and Donna Mae Gunn of Brown City, MI; sons: Donald (Mary) Gunn of Clio, MI, Leon (Thelma) Gunn of of Flint, MI, Jerry and Sally Gunn of Roscommon. She is also survived by 150 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and her best friend and "" Bingo Buddy"" Betty Shrout of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin & Eleanor Pearsall, husband Donald L. Gunn in 1943, a son Dale L. Gunn in 1996 and longtime partner Clifford Anspach in 1990.
