Theresa E. Birk

Theresa Elizabeth Birk, age 78, of Mio, Michigan, passed away at home, Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 7, 1948, to the late Vera M.(Kauffman ) and Thomas A. Shea. 

Theresa was a "knit whiz," knitting everything from baptismal gowns, to hats for cancer patients and newborns. She retired as a manager from Weyerhaeuser in Grayling, MI. Theresa was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grayling, MI and Mio, MI. Theresa is survived by her loving husband Roy McNichols, son Robert (Felichia) Kalstad, siblings, Carol (Jerry, deceased) O'Conner, Thomas F. (Laurie) Shea and Robin (Garry) Richards and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Renaye Shea.

A Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM, followed by the Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mio, MI with Reverend Santiago Hoyumpa officiating.
