Theresa E. Birk

Theresa Elizabeth Birk, age 78, of Mio, Michigan, passed away at home, Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 7, 1948, to the late Vera (Kauffman ) and Thomas A. Shea.

Theresa was a "knit whiz," knitting everything form baptismal gowns, to hats for cancer patients and newborns. She retired from Weyerhaeuser in Grayling, MI. Theresa was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grayling, MI and Mio, MI.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Roy McNichols, son, Robert (Felichia) Kalstead, siblings, Carol (Jerry, deceased) O'Conner, Tom F. (Laurie) Shea, Jr., and Robin (Gary) Richards, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by her sister, Renaye Shae.

A memorial Service will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mio, MI with Reverend Santiago Hoyumpa officiating, time and date to be announced shortly.
