Terence James (Tee Jay) Miteen

Terence James “Tee Jay” Miteen, age 32 of Petoskey, Michigan, formerly of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Tee Jay was born in Grayling, Michigan on February 15, 1993. He graduated from Mio High School with the Class of 2012. Tee Jay was a member of the Tri Point Church of God in Mio. He had worked at a farm in Johannesburg and also helped with the “Farm Fest” there. Tee Jay moved to Petoskey 8 years ago. He worked at Mitchell Street Pub, South Woods, A-1 Dry Cleaning, and most recently at Louis’ Fresh Market. Tee Jay enjoyed drawing, going to the beach, photography, and spending time with his friends and family. He will be remembered as a friendly, warm-hearted person with a nice smile.

Tee Jay is survived by his father Dennis Miteen II of Lewiston, MI; his grandparents: Dennis & Ruth Miteen of Mio, MI; his best friend and “sister” Tracy Galvani of Petoskey, MI; his uncle & aunt: Darrin & Annie Miteen of Bronson, TX; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 4 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. He will lie in state from 10 AM until the Funeral Services on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11 AM at the Tri Point Church of God, Mio, MI, with Pastor Gene Spies officiating. A Luncheon will follow the service at Tri Point Church of God. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services.
