With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Tammy Zell Mayse, who left this world on February 19, 2026, just one day shy of her 51st birthday. Tammy passed peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family and friends, after a brave and tenacious battle with Lymphoma.

Born on February 20, 1975, in Huntington, WV, Tammy was the cherished daughter of the late Jerry Lee Mayse and Donna Jo Mayse (Gill). Their loving guidance and nurturing spirits laid the foundation for Tammy’s zest for life and her unyielding determination.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Tammy's legacy is carried forward by her two adoring children, Britteny Cantley (Toppings) and Jacob Curry, and her two bonus children, Jenna Toppings and Peyton Toppings. She was a proud grandmother to two precious grandchildren, Katherine Jaymes Zell and Claire Dakota Kay who were the light of her life. Tammy is also survived by her loving sister, Kelly Salmons, and her brother, Charles Mayse, along with a vast network of friends stretching from Florida to Michigan, all of whom were touched by her fiery spirit and courageous soul. Any who knew her knew how great her love for fun and adventure was!

Tammy's life was a vibrant tapestry of passion and curiosity. Her love for quilting and coloring was matched only by her ardent interest in all things conspiracy-related, reflecting a mind that was always eager to explore the unknown. Her creativity and inquisitiveness were as infectious as her laughter, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Tammy's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Compassus for their compassionate guidance and support during this difficult journey. The care and kindness extended by their helping hands provided comfort and solace when it was needed most.

A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and share the countless stories of joy and adventure that defined her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to her family ensuring that her legacy of love, home and stability continues to touch their lives.

Tammy Zell Mayse will be remembered not only for her love for her family and her curiosity for the unknown but also for the warmth and kindness she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, lighting our paths with her unwavering courage and boundless love.
