Stuart James Chandler

Stuart James Chandler, age 73 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Grayling Hospital on Friday, September 2, 2016.
Stuart was born in Linden, Michigan on March 20, 1948 to Raymond and Helen (Wendell) Chandler. He worked for GM-AC Spark Plug in Flint, Michigan. Stuart and his wife Josephine owned Chandler Historical Linden Hotel, and moved to Mio in 1993, where they owned Chandler Smith Lake Lodge. Stuart was a member of the Mio Dummy Club and the Mio Moose Lodge. He enjoyed drinking beer and shooting pool.
Stuart is survived by his wife Josephine of Mio, MI; his daughter Tina Terkani of Mio, MI; his son Matthew Heiser of Farwell, MI; 2 sisters: Pat (Everet) Dillon and Shirley Crego; his brother Fred Walker; his grandchildren: Mikeal (Ashley) Terkani, Brittnay Watkins, and Madison LaPointe; 3 great-grandchildren: Natalie, Gavin, and Dylan Terkani. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Jeanie (Rick) Logie and Cindy Key; several nieces and nephews, including, Laurie, Cindy, Rhonda, Jack and Jeffrey and his close niece Micheala Green (fiancé Josh Watson); great nephew Tyler Green; and many dear friends. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons: James Stuart Chandler and Rodney James Chandler.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 12 Noon – 2 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan, with a Memorial Service at 2 PM with Rev Jim Adatte officiating.
