Sondra Lee Azer

Sondra L. Azer, age 79 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Monday, May 20, 2019.

Sondra was born in Watertown, Michigan on May 31, 1939 to Gordon and Della (Putney) Williams. She was a successful Real Estate person in St. Clair County. She became active in the Oil and Gas Leasing Industry, settling in Mio where she was a Real Estate Broker for over 40 years. Sondra was active in Oscoda County Habitat for Humanity, TriPoint Church of God, a member of the Mio Moose Club, and the Oscoda County 4H Club.

Sondra is survived by her special friend Frank Allen of Mio, MI; her children: Cynthia (Tom) Wahl of Scottsdale, AZ; John Vallie (Peggy Brooks) of Owosso, MI; David (Lonnie) Vallie of Grand Blanc, MI; Richard (Laurie) Rettinger of Rockford, MI; her stepson Scott Azer of Flagstaff, AZ; and her son in-law Kenny Dixon of Port Huron, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Colin Wahl, Courtney (Wahl) Pomroy, Caitlyn Wahl, Jonathan Dixon, Justin Dixon, Alex Vallie, Blake Vallie, Cole Vallie, Mitchel Vallie, Jay Vallie, Christopher Rettinger, Matthew Rettinger, and Sarah Rettinger; her great-grandchildren: Jordan Dixon and Genevieve Lee Pomroy; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Clara Hamlett; 2 brothers: Ronald Williams and Richard Williams; her husband Richard Azer; her daughter Cristi Dixon; and her twin great-grandsons Derek & Dylan Dixon.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11 AM at the TriPoint Church of God, Mio, Michigan with Pastor Chris Bones officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to TriPoint Church of God or to Oscoda County Habitat for Humanity.
