Shirley I. Wiedbrauk, age 79 of Suttons Bay, Michigan, formerly of Curran, Michigan, passed away at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan on Monday, April 22, 2019.
Shirley was born in Curran, Michigan on April 14, 1940 to Cecil and Vera (Harmon) Trader. She married Milton “Peet” Wiedbrauk on November 29, 1958 in Harrisville, Michigan. She raised her family in Flint, Michigan; working for Hamady High School in Flint. Shirley settled back in Curran in June of 1985, where she worked at Shirley’s Café. She was a member of VFW #3890 of Alpena, Michigan. She attended the Curran and Mio United Methodist Churches. She was also involved with the Curran Citizen’s Watch.
Shirley is survived by her children: Jack (Jamie) Wiedbrauk of Curran, MI; Linda (Wayne) Agosa of Suttons Bay, MI; and Kathy (Steven) Hawley of Mancelona, MI; her grandchildren: Marcus, Dakota, & Claudia Agosa, and James & Michael Bush; and her brother-in-law Donald Diller of Crystal Falls, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milton “Peet” Wiebrauk, her brother Harvey Trader, and her sister Patricia Diller.
Visitation on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 1 PM with Pastor Brenda Klacking officiating. Interment will follow the services at Curran Cemetery, Curran, Michigan.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
