Shirley Pennington

Shirley M. Pennington, age 75 of Atlanta, Michigan, passed away at Medilodge of Hillman, MI on Saturday, October 5, 2013.Shirley was born in Rochester, Michigan on May 14, 1938 to Carl William and Glenwood Elaine (Stickney) Dobat.  She was formerly a resident of Rochester, MI, and has made Atlanta, MI her home for the past 18 years.Surviving are her children:  Morris (Cammie) Pennington of Fairview, MI; and James Pennington of Atlanta, MI; her sisters:  Joan Collins of Mio, MI; Marilyn Burnham of Rochester Hills, MI; and Marjorie McPeters of Camp Verde, AZ; her brother Ralph Dobat of Rochester, MI; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Carl Pennington.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 4-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI; and again on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 1 PM at the Mio Church of God, Mio, MI, with Mr. Eugene Spies officiating.
