Shirley J. Muirhead

Shirley J. Muirhead, age 80 of Curran, Michigan, passed away at her home on Monday, March 27, 2017.
Shirley was born in Curran, Michigan on May 27, 1936 to Glen and Evelyn (Bugg) Conrad. She owned and operated Shirley’s Curran Café for many years. After her retirement, she and her husband Doug operated Shirley’s Wood and Things, crafting unique wood items.
Shirley is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Conrad; her nieces: Pat Palmer, Sue (Rick) Sawyer, Judy (Gary) Schuhmacher, and Beth Beson; her nephews: Tom (Jackie) Conrad and Tim (Kelly) Conrad; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doug Muirhead, her brother Bill Conrad, her sister and brother-in-law Cathryn and Lester Palmer, and her niece Barbara Palmer. Special thanks to Heartland Hospice of West Branch; especially to Hannah Miller and Kim Edwards; and to her caregivers Lisa Bloom, Paula Taylor and Pat McCrackin.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held At the Comins Mennonite Church on May the 27th at 1:00PM. Interment of ashes at Curran Cemetery, Curran, Michigan.
