Shirley Jean Maurer

Shirley Jean Maurer Age 84 (McIntire) born Feb. 19th 1940 went to be the lord October 6th 2024.
Shirley married Ray Maurer from Comins Michigan. They had 2 girls Twila Brown (Kurt,)  Teresa Brown (Kim,) 3 granddaughter’s Randi Brown, Sydney Louden (Dominick,) Taylor Hughey (Greg,) Friend and sister in law Judy McIntire.
Shirley was raised in Comins michigan. Retired from Hurley Medical Center where she was a RN for many years. She traveled extensively in the United States with her aunt’s and uncle’s. She also traveled overseas to Ireland, France, Japan,China and Russia to name a few. She also assisted the Red Cross in disaster relief and in New York City after 9/11.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Ray, parents Leo and Bessie McIntire, brothers Clyde and James.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday October, 16 at 2:00 Pm with visiting from 11:00 Am until 2:00 Pm  at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mio, Michigan, with Father Santiago Hoyumpa officiating. Interment to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Michigan. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Red Cross.  Arrangements made by Lashley Funeral Home.
