Shawn J. Fairman

Shawn J. Fairman, age 53 of Mio, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 2, 2017.
Shawn was born in Flint, Michigan on April 23, 1964 to Russell and Rosemary Fairman. He moved to Mio 30 years ago from Flint. Shawn worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the State of Michigan (MDOT). Shawn enjoyed riding motorcycles (especially his Harley), woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends.
Shawn is survived by his wife Lisa; his parents Russell and Rosemary Fairman; his children: Hannah French (Bobbi Austin); Courtney French (Curtis Odgers); Maija French (Kenny Coombs), and Tia (Tyler) Lent; his brothers: David Fairman, Dennis (Fran) Fairman, Tim Fairman, and Steve (Patty) Fairman; his sisters: Susan (Larry) Hendershott and Madonna Burch; his grandchildren: Victor, Wyatt, Malakai, and Declan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI; and from 10 AM until Funeral Services at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Gascho officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Memorial donations may be made for the needs and wishes of the family.
