Sharon E. Blasch

Sharon E. Blasch, age 79, of Mio, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 7th, at The Villa at Rose City.

Sharon was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 20, 1939, a daughter of the late Rosemary (Ouelette) and Marvin Umstead. She attended Sienna Heights University, majoring in music. Sharon moved to the Mio area in 1982 from Saginaw and was an instructor at Kirtland Community College. She married Ronald Blasch in October of 1989 in Saginaw. Sharon enjoyed playing the piano and sewing.

Surviving are her husband Ronald C. Blasch; daughters: Janice (Ed) Coryell of Wolverine, MI, Kris (Dave) Hammerbacher of Saginaw, MI, Amy (Chris) Manke of The Detroit Area and Jennifer Heath of Maryland; brothers: Jeff Umstead of St. Charles, MI and Brian Umstead of California; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and brother Skip Umstead.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned.
