Sarah M. Lockwood

Mrs. Sarah M. Lockwood, age 95, of Mio, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at the Home at AuSable Valley Community, Fairview.
Visitation Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 1-9 P.M. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Ml. Funeral Service held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11 A.M. at Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Stadelmayer officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Lockwood was born on July 18, 1913 in Fairview to Albert E. & Eleanor (Crank) Pearsall. She was raised in Oscoda County. She married Robert Lockwood in Flint in 1959, where they resided until moving to Mio in 1978. She was a homemaker who enjoyed needlework and gardening. Sarah was a former member of the Montmorency Chapter of the D.A.V. Auxiliary #80.
Mrs. Lockwood is survived by her children: George (Loretta) Brown of Tennessee; Edwin (Thela) Brown of Mio; and Eleanor Mclntyre of Florida; 13 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Sarah was preceded in death by her second husband Robert Lockwood on Nov. 16, 1997; an infant son and two infant daughters; two grandsons: Ricky Mclntyre and Charlie Brown; three brothers: Elgin, Albert and Arthur Pearsall; six sisters: Etta Wiedbrauk, Eleanor Costello, Dorothy Mills, Violet Gunn, Helen Baldwin and Thena Smith; and a son-in-law Ronald Mclntyre.
