Ruthann Rix

Ruthann Rix, age 77, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was born to Vernon Sparks and Beverly Kearns on December 20, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ruthann was the beloved wife of Donald, mother to Kelly (Keith) and Shelly. Stepmother to Jennifer (John) and Jeremy (Angela). Adored grandmother to Deven (Ashley), Brooke (Adam), Lauren (Brad), Derek (Allison), Kiara, Christopher (Alexa) and Emily (Ryan). Great Grandmother to Sophie and Anthony. She is survived by her sister Kathleen and brother Larry (Carol). She was also aunt to Chris, Louis, Amy, Angela and Anita.

Ruthann will be remembered for her love and devotion to her cats and her horses and the extraordinary love she had for her family. She loved nature and spent hours on her front swing watching the birds, especially her chickadees which were her favorite. Ruthann was a master basket weaver and enjoyed painting and shopping weekends with her family. She will be forever missed.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
