Russell G. Boerner

Russell G. Boerner, age 85 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
Russell was born in Mio, Michigan on December 25, 1928 to Charles and Dola (Henderson) Boerner. He had worked as a Dairy Farmer with his father and later worked as a sawyer. Russell was an active member of the Mio Seventh Day Adventist Church where he had served as a Deacon for many years. He had enjoyed walking with his wife, Letitia; riding horses; and being outside with all of nature.
Surviving are his wife Letitia; his daughter Charlotte (Derek) Green of Grand Rapids, MI; his brother Roy Boerner; 2 granddaughters: Elizabeth and Victoria Green; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Warren Boerner; and his sisters: Esther Kennedy, Alice Layman, and Mary Lou Thornell.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at the Mio Seventh-day Adventist Church at 4PM on Sunday, August 17, 2014 with Pastor Bela Kobor officiating, with a luncheon to follow.
