Ruby "Renaye" Shea

Ruby “Renaye” Shea age 67 of Mio passed away at her home in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 15, 2018 peacefully in her sleep. Renaye was born in Pontiac, MI on April 22, 1951 to the late Thomas and Vera (Kauffman) Shea. In Renaye’s early years she worked at a truck stop as a cook. Renaye later transitioned into the health care field taking care of patients in a home and in her own home. Renaye was a straight shooter who spoke whatever was on her mind. Renaye was a very caring person and loved all her Children and Grandchildren with all her heart. Before her mother passed away, Renaye loved playing Cards with her favorite Card Partner Elizabeth and their opponents Linda and Mother Shea. Most of all, Renaye loved to Float the AuSable River with her Family.

Renaye is survived by her children: Wendy (Edward) Flint of Mio, MI; Paulette (Larry) Walker Of Commerce Township, MI ; Jeffrey Thurston of Grayling, MI ; and Chuck (Corryn) Thurston of White Lake, MI; Her Sisters: Carol O’Connor, Theresa Birk, and Robin Richards; Her Brother: Thomas Shea; Grandchildren; Tommy Lauwers, Kristy Lauwers, Victor Charbonneau, Megan Charbonneau, Emily Flint, Monique Walker, Cameron Thurston, Cassy Thurston, Cali Thurston, Kensington Thurston, and Thomas Thurston; Her dear friend Linda Day; 5 Great-grandchildren; and Many Nieces, Nephews and Friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-Husband Jeffrey Thurston; Her grandson Zachary Walker

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on December 2, 2018 at the Kittle Hall in Mio, Michigan beginning at 12pm and going till 2pm.
