Rozane K. Green-Chapman

Rozane K. Green-Chapman, age 87 of Mio, Michigan, formerly of LaGrange, GA, passed away at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview, MI on Friday, March 11, 2016.
Rozane was born in Carrollton, Georgia on June 20, 1928 to Ammon and Lila Jo (Willingham) King. She married Hayden Green on June 20, 1948 in West Point, GA. She went back to school at the age of 40 to receive her Master’s Degree and began teaching at the Oakside Christian School in LaGrange, also serving there as principal for a time. She also taught at Long Cane Elementary School in LaGrange. Rozane moved to Mio in 1999 from LaGrange, GA. She married Lawrence Chapman in November 2001. They lived in Flint until his unexpected passing, then Rozane returned to Mio. She was a member of the Mio Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and reading.
Rozane is survived by her children: Michael (Jeanna) Green of LaGrange, GA; David Green of Mio, MI; Kevin (Faye) Green of LaGrange, GA; and Sandi (Tom) Huber of Mio, MI; her sister-in-law Helen King of West Point, GA; and her brother Kerry (Irene) King of LaGrange, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: JoAnn, Jonathan, Andrew, Mitch, Kyle, Christi, and Jason, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Hayden Green, her second husband Lawrence Chapman and her brother Wyatt King.
Visitation on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 1 – 2 PM at the Mio Baptist Church, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 2 PM with Pastor Glynn McMorris officiating. Visitation and Funeral Services will also be held in La Grange, GA, with interment at Long Cane Cemetery, LaGrange, GA.
