Mrs. Rowena M. Peckham, age 86, of Comins, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Medilodge of Hillman.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 at 1:00 PM at The Comins Eagles Club, Aerie #3544.
Mrs. Peckham was born on April 4, 1922 and raised in Ionia, Michigan. She married Howard Beckham in 1952 in Lowell, Michigan. They moved to Comins in 1957. She was a homemaker who was a member of the Comins Eagles Club and the Lowell Moose Club.
Rowena is survived by her husband Howard; her children: Lil Moody of Davenport, FL, Henry Smith of Comins, Ml, Clara Burgett of Sebewaing, Ml, and Sue Kappen of Cass City, Ml; three sisters: Eleanor Attenburger, Dora Barker, and Edna Ray; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Cherri Vargo.
