Roscoe O. Lee

June 18, 1935 — November 17, 2017

Roscoe O. Lee, 82, was welcomed into Heaven November 17, 2017 after a busy, productive life serving the Lord. He passed peacefully at home, after a four year battle with mesothelioma, with his loving wife, Sylvia, by his side.

Roscoe was the oldest son of Arthur and Doris Lee, and grew up on the family fruit farm near Bangor, MI. He was a graduate of LeTourneau University and Moody Bible Institute. In 1959 he married his first wife, Rachel, and together they served on mission fields in Congo, Africa, as well as several Christian camping ministries in northern MI. They also made several mission trips to Russia. His legacy includes the hospitals, churches and schools he helped build and electrify in Congo, the lives impacted by his teaching, and his children and grandchildren who are following him in the faith. He is survived by their two sons, Stephen (Kathy) and Jonathan (Andrea), six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter

Roscoe also served as Township Supervisor of Comins Township for eight years. He was a resident of Fairview, MI for many years, and recently moved to Fremont, MI.

In 2011 Roscoe married Sylvia Raquet who survives, as well as her two children David (Tori) and Debra (Lance) Safford, and three grandchildren.

Also surviving are his three brothers, Ken (Jean), Phil (Jan), and David; his two sisters Cynthia (Dick) Robertson, and Nancy (Joe) Capps. Roscoe was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Rachel, and his sister Artha Mae Neuenfeldt.

Visitation and services will be Tuesday, November 21, at the Fairview Mennonite Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., with services at 2 p.m. Pastor David Price officiating, Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
