Ronald "Yogi" Yoder

Ronald “Yogi” Yoder, age 66 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at his son Clay's home in Mio, on Monday, March 31, 2014.
Ronald was born in Fairview, Michigan on February 28, 1948 to Glen Otto and Vera Faye (Zook) Yoder.  He graduated from Fairview High School with the Class of 1966, where he had been a pitcher for the high school team.  He worked most of his life as a carpenter. Ronald was a member of the Fairview Lions Club and a 4H supporter for many years, serving as their Pig Leader and Barn Superintendent.  He enjoyed playing softball as a pitcher; and shooting league pool for the Wild Turkey Saloon, serving as team captain. He will be remembered by many for his Pig Roasts.
Yogi is survived by his children:  Tanya (Dennis) Munger of Fairview, MI; Clay (Courtney) Yoder of Mio, MI; and Lance (Codie) Yoder of Mio, MI; 7 grandchildren: Tristan, Ashley, Madison, Ryan, Zoey, Ava, and Victor; his brothers: Cecil (Marlene) Yoder of Fairview, MI; Jay (Joyce) Yoder of Goshen, IN; and Kendall “Cazz” (Shannon) Yoder of Fairview, MI; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Kathleen Wagner.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
