Ronald Lee Alderman

Ronald Alderman Sr . , age 83 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at his home on January 7th, 2018.

Ron was born on July 7 th, 1934, the first of two children of Louis (Virgil) and Eloise Alderman born in Virden, Illinois. He grew up in River Rouge, Michigan where he graduated from the River Rouge High School while working the midnight shift at Fleetwood Murray Body located in Detroit, MI on the assembly line.

After graduating from high school, Ron worked in the electrical apprenticeship program at Great Lakes Steel among other various skilled trades , until joining the River Rouge Police Department in 1955. He continued as a master electrician running his own business (Alderman Electric) while working as a police officer until he retired in 1983 from the Police Department.

Ron continued his successful electrical business after moving to Comins in 1983. "Alderman Electric" remained in business for 27 more years until he was forced to retire due to health issues in 2010.

During his time in Comins, he enjoyed owning and riding horses, hunting, fishing, and passing time in the local restaurants at the coffee table solving world's problems.

He married Lisa Garcia (Alderman) in 1975, where they enjoyed 43 of the most wonderful years of their lives.

Ron is survived by his wife Lisa; sister Janice Smith, five children Ron Jr., Linda, David, Mary, and Robert, grandchildren Amy, Jennifer, David Jr . , Monica, Bethany, Kellie, Robert Jr., and Dominic. Great grandchildren: Krystian, Allyssa, Allen, Autumn, Drake, and Dylan. Preceded in death by his parents and his grandson James.

Visitation Thursday, January 11th, 2018 from 2 – 8 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI and on Friday January 12th, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Mennonite Church, with by Pastor Dave Price officiating.
