Roger William Brooks

Roger William Brooks, age 70 of Luzerne, Michigan, passed away at Covenant Cooper Medical Center in Saginaw, MI on Sunday, October 5, 2014.
Roger was born in West Branch, Michigan on November 29, 1943 to Collin and Helen (Farrington) Brooks. He served his country in the US Army. He owned and operated Brooks Wood Products of Luzerne, and also worked as a truck driver until retiring 4 years ago. Roger enjoyed reading, especially historical books. He was especially fond of books about WWII.
Surviving are his children: Charles Brooks of Mio, MI and Amber (Jason) Richardson of South Lyon, MI; his grandchildren: Kyle Brooks, Wyatt Richardson, and Levi Richardson; and his nieces and nephews: Paul Nolan, Brooks Stevenson, Collie Brooks, and Holli Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Thomas; his infant sister Mary; and his sister Margaret.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, with Rev. Glynn McMorris officiating.
