Roberta "Bobbie" E. Willett

Roberta “Bobbie” E (Sherwood) Willett, 86 of Charlevoix, MI passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on 11-1-2021. She was born 1-31-1935 to Orson and Lena Sherwood in Mio, MI. She was a graduate of Mio AuSable High School. She married James “Ray” Willett on February 6, 1954.
Together they had three boys as she started her working career for the Michigan DNR retiring in December 1987. She worked for the Oscoda County Ambulance Service until moving to Curtis in the Upper Peninsula in 1991. She continued her services for the ambulance department in Mackinaw County where she earned her EMT license while she was in her early 70’s.
Bobbie’s hobbies included sewing, quilting, playing golf, she was an avid reader and spending her time with her family.
She and her husband Ray moved to Charlevoix in 2017 to be closer to their family.
Bobbie is survived by her son Gregg (Tina) of California, daughter in law Leslie of Charlevoix, MI, 5 grandchildren, Gregg Jr. Erin (Corey), Kurtis, Eric (Alicia), Kendra, 8 great grandchildren Alayna, Jillian, Cali, Kyle, Phoenix, Kaden, Hudson and Hayden. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray of 64 years, sons Jerry and Mark, sisters Joan Maier, Judy Kilby and brother Lee Sherwood.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
