Robert Earl Savory

Robert Earl Savory, age 73 of Mio, Michigan, passed away in Midland, Michigan on Friday, February 9, 2024.

Robert was born on April 6, 1950, in Pontiac, MI to Edwin and Mary (Teeples) Savory. He worked with lumber and in sawmills for much of his life. He had many different interests: he loved fishing, hunting, scrapping, and spending time with his family. He liked helping others when he could: doing yard work, building things or anything else asked of him. Robert was a good man. He liked to joke around with family and friends, and loved to tell his life stories to anyone who would listen. He was also easy to talk to and was a hard worker.

Robert is survived by his sister Darlene (Savory) Gehringer, his sister-in-law Peggy Savory, his brother-in-law John Morgan, his step-children: Crystal (Sutton) & Kelly Hoffman and Brandy (Sutton) & Charles Cole, his step-grandchildren: Jenille, Gaige, Tyler, Denzi, Chaz, William, Isaiah, and Andrew; his step great-grandchildren: Lyra, Lilly, Madelyn, Elliot, Everly, Collin, Oliver, and one on the way, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Lloydine “Maggy” (Sutton) Savory, his parents: Edwin & Mary (Teeples) Savory, his sisters: Betty Savory-Morgan and Donna (Joseph) Weatherholt, and his brothers: William (DiAnne) Savory and Dennis Savory and his nephew Edwin (Eddie) Weatherholt.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
