Mr. Robert Albert ""Bob"" Popp, 86, of Luzerne, formerly of Saginaw, passed away with his family by his side, following a short illness on Friday, June 10th, 2011 at his home in Luzerne, MI.
Bob was born in Saginaw, Michigan on August 28, 1924, the son of the late Irving A. and Mary (Phiel) Popp.   He was the husband of Gertrude (Most) Popp his loving wife of 64 years.  They where married June 26, 1946.  Bob served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II in the Aleutian Islands.  He retired after 35 years from the Central Foundry where he was a machinist.
Bob is survived by his wife Gertrude; son Irving Patrick (Julie) Popp; two grandchildren: Andrew Popp of Long Beach CA, and Courtney (Eric) Bohlmann of Queen Creek AZ.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty O'Brien and a brother Stuart Popp.
In accordance with Bob's wishes cremation has already taken place and memorials may be made to the Grayling Sportsman's Club, 6990 Old Lake Road, Grayling, MI 49738.
