Robert J. "Bob" Kerr

Robert J. “Bob” Kerr, age 62 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
Bob was born in Flint, Michigan on April 3, 1954 to Robert and Jeanette (Hicks) Kerr. He served in the US Army during The Vietnam War in Panama. He married Peggy Youmans on July 7, 1979 in Grand Blanc, MI. Bob worked for GM Truck & Bus in Flint, Michigan as a forklift driver, retiring after 30 years of service. The couple retired to Mio in 2002. Bob was a regular of the Paddle Inn “Coffee Club”. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and hanging out at “Jigs Up Bait & Tackle”.
Bob is survived by his wife Peggy of Mio, MI; his children: James (Pamela) Kerr of Round Lake Beach, IL; Kelly (Darik) Zarko of Twining, MI; and Tammy (Bryan) Ziegler of West Branch, MI; his brother David (Cathy) Kerr of Holly, MI; his grandchildren: Brittani, Elizabeth, Miranda, Tabitha, and Jacob; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws: James Youmans and Leona Youmans.
Visitation on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 1 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and also on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 12 Noon until Funeral Services at 1 PM with Rev. Lee Austin officiating. Military Honors offered by the Luzerne American Legion Post # 162. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services.
