Robert M. Gusler

Robert Merle Gusler (Bob) age 83 of Mio Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 30 2021 At Munson Hospital Grayling.

Bob was born on January 21, 1938 in Fairview MI to Ellis Merle Gusler and Helen Lovella (Wright) Gusler. He was a lifelong resident of Oscoda County. He married the love of his life Kathy Smith on July 5, 1955 in Fairview MI.

Bob was a member of the Mio TriPoint Church of God. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed working with the youth, coaching t-ball, Little League in basketball. Bob also had a heart for the elderly who were lonely and alone he included them in family gatherings took them to appointments and just spent time with them. Most of all he Loved his family and he loved spending time with them. Bob worked road construction for many years and retired from the Oscoda County Road Commission in 1997.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathy, his children Roberta (Allen) Bruce, Cindy (Ronnie) Queen, Lisa Gusler, Brad (Ronda) Gusler and Keith (Yvonne) Gusler, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren with one the way.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his son Rob, his sisters Joyce Spoor and Marilyn Dusseau.

Visitation is Wednesday February 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the TriPoint Church of God in Mio. Funeral services at 1:00 PM following visitation, with Pastor Chris Bones officiating cremation will follow the services.

Memorial donations may be made to Oscoda County Council on Aging.
