Mr. Robert Lee Bowen, 71, of Mio passed away Wednesday, September 5th, 2007 at his home in Mio, MI.
Visitation Friday the 7th from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. with funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, September 8th, at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Reverend Russell Bowman officiating, with cremation following.

Robert was born in Avon Township, Oakland County, MI to the late Victor John and Madalin Cecil (Johnson) Bowen. He served in the U.S. Army and in 1978 he retired from G. M. Fisher Body Plant, Pontiac, where he was a member of The UAW Local 596 where he worked as an Assembly Line Worker. He was the husband of Rose Ella (Rausch) Bowen and they moved to Mio in 1979 from Auburn Heights. He was a member of the Mio Antique Car Club, enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball and ""Horse Trading.""

Robert is survived by his wife Rose; Daughters: Anna - Marie G. Bowen of Mio,
Jerry Lynn (Donald) DuPont of Manchester, NH; Sons: Robert (Sherry) Bowen of LaMarque, Tx, Dale (Tracy) Yanke of North Dakota; Sister LaWanda Forbes and Family; Brother Ronnie (Marilyn) Bowen.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Gina (David) Haney; Brian (Tammy) Reddaway; great grandchildren: Alex, Thressa, Daisy, Brian, Alura, Brianna, Zachery; Close family friends: John Force, Dennis Alleyn, Ron and Kit, Big Ed and Rita, Bob Hessler, Charles Melvin, Earl Mauer; Many Antique Car Club Members and so many more.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and son Frank Bowen.

Arrangements were handled by Lashley Funeral Home in Mio, MI.
