Robert J. Boerner

Robert J. Boerner, age 63 of Mio, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, September 12, 2016.
Robert was born in West Branch, Michigan on April 20, 1953 to Roy and Jean (Maier) Boerner. He graduated from Mio High School with the Class of 1971. Robert was a member of the Mio United Methodist Church. He was active in the Oscoda County Ambulance; Tri-Town Fire Department; and the Oscoda County Sheriff Department. Robert also served as an Oscoda County Commissioner. He was a member of the Flying Eagles Motorcycle Group and was an avid deer hunter.
Robert is survived by his father Roy Boerner of Mio, MI; his children: Robb Boerner of Sanford, MI; and Christina (Ryan) McLeod of Montrose, MI; his brother Michael Boerner of Mio, MI; and his sister Rebecca (Ken) DesArmo of Cheboygan, MI. He was preceded in death by his mother Jean Boerner and his sister Kathy Richards.
Visitation on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 11 AM – 1PM at the Mio United Methodist Church, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 1 PM with Pastor Brenda Klacking officiating. Interment will Follow Service at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
Memorial donations may be directed to Mio United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
