Richard Christopher Sawyer

Richard Christopher Sawyer was a beloved partner, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  Richard always had a huge smile on his face.  He was a kind, loving man.
Richard loved to spend time with his daughter Helana and his partner Breanna. Richard was the best father.
He loved to teach Helana everything he knew.  Spending time outside playing with Helana on the swing he made her, riding the motorbike together, and playing guitar and singing together were the things he loved to do the most. Richard was a devoted son, he spent much of his time with his dad Chris and his mother Martha; they were both parents and his closest friends.
Richard was a great brother, grandson, and nephew, spending time with family was one of his strongest values. Richard was a nurturing uncle to his nephew Kian, and niece Amelia; Richard loved them dearly.  Richard also leaves behind many cousins and friends who were impacted by the light that he shared in this world. Richard loved to listen to music, play guitar, skateboard, ride his dirt bike, cook, be outside in nature, and most of all he loved the water and he loved to fish.  Richard would want everyone to remember to slow down and notice how bright the stars are on a clear Michigan night.
