Richard "Rex" Bills April 20,1931 – March 18, 2021
Rex, as known by all, was a Korean War Veteran, who was proud of his service in the 187th Airborne. He was a Lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4126 of Mio. Rex and his wife Nancy owned and operated a dairy farm along with the help of their children. Rex’s passion and career of choice was as a teamster, sitting at the helm of an 18-wheeler. The love of the open road and travel led Rex and Nancy into full-time travel after retirement, keeping him behind the wheel in their motorhome. Rex was always ready to challenge others to a game of Euchre or a game of pool, typically to the opponent’s demise! Grandkids always looked forward to getting that "back-breaking" hug from Grandpa, and he always had a firm handshake for all. Rex was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather and a friend that was always there to lend a hand or share a story; and was a true character of his own that will be greatly missed. Rex was a cherished part of a large extended family that he & Nancy created.
