Richard Lee Persall

Richard Lee Persall went home to the Lord on August 4, 2021 at the age of 79.  Surrounded by Angels and Family. After the “I love yous” were said by family members, he peacefully went home.  He will forever be remembered for his caring nature, witty sense of humor, fun spirit, love for music and dancing, playing cards and the pride in his appearance.

He was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Lived most of his life in Mio Michigan in his family home. Served in the Army and worked for General Motors.

He joins his Mother Evelyn, Father Dale Persall, Brother Leonard Eugene Cilley (Butchie), Sisters, Sandy Irelan, Bettie Hier, Carla Tasker and Grandson Lance Eldred.

He is survived by his three Daughters, Tracy Eldred, Melissa King, Vivian Persall, Son Jerry (Kristie Persall) and 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.  Sisters Trudy (Charlie Russell), Kate (Jonathan Burgoon), Brother Dale (Cindy Persall), many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Lashley Funeral Home on Saturday, August 28, 2021. The family will greet friends from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Salsbury officiating. Interment of ashes to follow at the Kittle Cemetery, Mio with Military Honors offered by The Luzerne American Legion Post 162 with members from Mio American Legion 348 and V.F.W. Post 4126.
