Richard C. Layman

Richard C. Layman, 79, of Grayling, MI, Formerly of Mio, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 .

Richard was born in Fairview, Michigan on February 24, 1940, a son of the late Alice C. (Boerner) and Richard K. Layman.

He had worked for The Fred Bear Archery Company, Henkels and McCoy Electrical as a lineman, Asplundh Tree Service as a foreman and retired from Cooper Standard. Richard enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting, nature and bird watching. He enjoyed life, loved to laugh, He will be remembered as being friendly, thoughtful and generous.

He is survived by his Son Richard Terpening of Grayling, MI; Daughter April Kirk of Junction City, KS; Sister Judy Bosick; and Grandson Colten Kirk.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter: Madilyn Kirk, brothers: David, Rhon, and Gary Layman and sister Patricia Galbraith.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service at at New Hope Assembly of God, Mio, Michigan, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, with Pastor Ron Janiszewski officiating.

Interment of Ashes Fairview Cemetery Fairview, MI.
