Rhonald Wayne Layman Sr.

Rhonald Wayne Layman, Sr., age 69 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at his home on Monday, November 3, 2014.



Ron was born in Kneeland, Michigan on June 28, 1945 to Keith and Alice (Boerner) Layman. He had worked for many years at Card & Sons Steel Construction of Rose City, and also for Presque Isle Electric Company. He had enjoyed hunting, taking his annual camping trip, and spending time with his family.



Ron is survived by his wife Linda of Mio, MI; his children: Rhonald W. (Kathy) Layman, Jr. of Sturgis, MI; Jack Layman of Mio, MI; and Melissa Nelson of Gaylord, MI; his sister Judy Bosik of Mio, MI; his brothers Richard Layman and Gary Layman, both of Fairview, MI; 7 grandchildren: Chris, Katie, Alicia, Brock, Brady, Logan and Taylor; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Pat Galbraith, and his brother Dave Layman.



Visitation Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 6-9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan; and again on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11AM at the Mio Baptist Church with Pastor Glynn McMorris officiating. Interment to follow at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
