Raymond Verfaille

Raymond L. Verfaille, age 64 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 6, 2019.

Ray was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan on December 29, 1954 to Laurent and Adrienne (Leivyns) Verfaille. He and his wife Barbara lived in Detroit for 14 years, in Lapeer for 15 years, before settling in Comins 14 years ago. Raymond enjoyed photography, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed caring for and breeding his many animals and pets. He had a special love for eagles, and will be remembered as a very friendly and determined person.

Ray is survived by his wife of 42 years Barbara and many cousins in Belgium and France. He is also survived by his in-laws: Shirley (Timothy) Huber Szczepkowski and Celeste D. (Edward G. Colburn) Huber. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law Carl G. (Wilma) Huber, his brother-in-law Brian D. Huber, and many beloved pets.

Visitation on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 1 – 5 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan. A Chapel Committal Service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 2 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan with Mr. John Agrusa officiating.
