Raymond Cook, age 82 of Luzerne, Michigan, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 1,2013.Raymond was born in Lincoln Park, Ml on July 26,1931 to Irvin and Elsie Cook. He served his country in the US Air Force at Luke Air Force Base in Gila, AZ; where he married Regina (Craig) Cook on April 27, 1952. The couple lived in Lincoln Park, where Raymond worked for Great Lakes Steel in River Rouge, Zug Island, retiring after 32 years. The couple settled in Luzerne in 1989. Raymond enjoyed playing the lottery, tractors and yard work, and gardening.Surviving are his 7 children: Daniel Cook of Luzerne, Ml; James Cook of Union City, OK; Robert Cook of Romulus, Ml; Judy (Bill) Burris of South Rockwood, Ml; Edward Cook of Phoenix, AZ; Diana Stillwell of Luzerne, Ml; and Maggie (Paul) Martin of Luzerne, Ml; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Regina; his daughter Victoria Strach; and his son Raymond Scott Cook.Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5,2013 from 11 AM - 3PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Ml, with Funeral Services at 3 PM with Pastor Ben Fulayter officiating. Military Honors offered by The Mio VFW Post # 4126, In accordance with Raymond's wishes, cremation will follow the services.Memorial may be made to: The American Heart Association.Arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Ml.
