Ralph L. Ludwig

Mr. Ralph L. ""Rusty"" Ludwig, age 80, of Mio, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City.
Ralph was born on July 12, 1930 in Bach, Michigan to Frank and Meta (Sonntag) Ludwig.  Ralph lived many years in Sebewaing.  He worked for GM Steering Gear in Saginaw where he was a member of the UAW Local 669. He enjoyed bowling, playing in many tournaments around the country.  He moved to Mio in 1991 where he was a member of the Mio United Methodist Church. He retired from GM in 1993.
Surviving are his wife Carolyn, of Mio; his children:  David Ludwig (Colleen Griffith) of Clio, MI; and Debra (Neil) Myers of Sebewaing, MI and their mother, Ralph's former wife, Stella Ludwig; his stepchildren:  Scott A. (Kathleen) Janke of Woodbridge, VA; Stuart K. Janke of Clinton Township, MI; and Shawn W. (Dawn) Janke of Great Mills, MD.  He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kelly, Michael, Trishia, and Tracy;  sister: Mildred Roemer of Sebewaing, MI;  step grandchildren: Sara Lynn Elaine and Alyssa Janke; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Dorothy Nast.
Visitation Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 5-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI and again on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 2 PM until funeral service at 3 PM at Mio United Methodist Church with Rev. Marcel A. Lamb officiating.  In accordance with Ralphâ??s wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service.
