Rachel D. Parisian

Rachel D. Parisian, age 84 of Barton City, Michigan, passed away at Munson Health Care-Grayling on Friday, May 8, 2015.
Rachel was born at home in Dansville, Michigan on April 6, 1931 to Eugene and Bernice (Godley) Wheeler.   She married Ronald Parisian on December 13, 1947 in Mason, Michigan.  The couple lived in Webberville from 1971-1989, and retired to Barton City in 1989.  Rachel was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She had played piano at churches, dances, barn dances, socials, and weddings for 40 years. She was also a member of the AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club and The Mitchell Citizens Watch..  Rachel enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, flowers, baking, canning, feeding birds, and playing cards. She had great faith in the Lord. Rachel will always be remembered as a great cook.
Rachel is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ronald Parisian of Barton City, MI; her children:  Frederick E. (Linda) Parisian of Saginaw, MI; Cynthia M. (Andy) Wallace of Barton City, MI; Dennis D.  (Linda) Parisian of Howell, MI; Steve J. Parisian of Williamston, MI; and William E. (Cindy) Parisian of Webberville, MI; her sister Lucille Olson Of Holt, MI; and her brother Forrest Wheeler of Barton City.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, many great- grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat “Katie”.  Rachel was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers:  Scott, Harold, Roscoe, and Everett.
Visitation Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 12 Noon until the time of Funeral Services at 2 PM -2 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan with Pastor David Barker and Mr. Andrew Wallace officiating.  In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service.
