Peter Paul Szubelak

Remembering Peter Paul Szubelak (July 12, 1926—January 1, 2016)
Peter Paul Szubelak, 89, succumbed to pneumonia at Muson Healthcare Grayling Hospital and went on to be with the Lord on January 1, 2016.
Peter was born on July 12th 1926 in Hamtramck, MI to Mary and Michael Szubelak. He was a generous, stern man with a constitution of a freight train. Many were on the receiving end of his loving generosity.
In 1973 Mr. Szubelak moved to Mio and purchased the Mio Motel. With a lot of ingenuity and sweat, the Mio Motel was renovated from a 7 unit motel into a 24 unit currently. Peter Szubelak cited the Mio Motel as his best accomplishment and even at the age of 89 he still had dreams of expanding.
A Memorial Luncheon will be held at the Mio Community Center (305 E. 9th Street Mio, Michigan) on Saturday January 23rd 2016 from 11:00am – 3:00pm Everyone is invited please RSVP via phone or text to Lisa Daniels 989-370-5799
