Percy Gibson, age 80 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Grayling Hospital on Sunday, June 28, 2015.
Percy was born in Flint, Michigan on August 31, 1934 to Hugh and Fern (Mudge) Gibson. He worked for Buick and also owned and operated Percy’s Refrigerator Sales & Services in Flushing, MI. He moved to Fairview in 1976 from Flushing, where he owned and operated “Factory Appliance Service” for 20 years. He and his wife Connie moved to Mio in 1995. Percy enjoyed watching T.V. and his cats.
Percy is survived by his wife Connie of Mio, MI; his children: Debbie (Manual) Herrera of Sun City, AZ; Jackie (Steve) Wendal of Pottstown, PA; Joanne Rogers of Owosso, MI; and Percy S. (Gwen) Gibson, Jr. of Iron Mountain, MI; 7 grandchildren: Nick, Katie, Onnie, Ryan, Tia, Abbey, and Ashley; 4 great-grandchildren; and his sister Fanny Mackie of Flushing, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and his former wife Gloria Mills.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
