Paul H. Brown

Paul Henry Brown, age 89 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at McLaren-Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, MI on Thursday, February 13, 2014.
Paul was born in Alliance, Ohio on April 17, 1924 to Elgin and Mary (McSkulin) Brown. He served his country in the US Air Force during WWII, while in San Francisco, CA he attended medical school at Letterman Hospital and served as a medic while stationed in England. Paul worked as a building inspector for Oscoda County for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping with his brother Sonny; and especially enjoyed spending time with his friends at the AuSable River Restaurant and the Branch Café. He will be remembered as a good man and a great dad.
Surviving are his children: Scott (Gena) Brown of Maryville, TN; and Wendy Brown (Jay) of Chillowie, Virginia; his brothers: John (Beth) Brown and Sonny (Cathie) Brown; sisters: Florence and Dorothy; and his special friend Kathy Flanagan of West Virginia; many nieces and nephews; and his many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Viola and Margaret Ann.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 4-6 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation.
