Patsey Jean Ott

Patsey Jean Ellis Ott passed away on August 20, 2020 at Munson Hospital in Grayling, Michigan. Patsey was born on June 8th, 1940, in Mio, Michigan, where she was raised and attended Fairview Area Schools. Patsey worked for Fabex (now Cooper) in production until she retired in 1993. From an early age, she loved to dance and loved country music. She was an avid baker, enjoyed cake decorating, and prided herself on her elaborate wedding cakes. She loved animals and spent many years helping take care of her granddaughter's horses. In later years, she enjoyed putting puzzles together and watching game shows. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandch ildren was the most important part of her life. Patsey is survived by her sister Margaret Moss of Orland, Indiana, two children: Verna (husband Todd) Lee of Comins, MI, and Roger (wife Carla) Ott of Mio, MI; five grandchildren: Ashley, Loran, Tylor, Jessup, and Dakota, three great grandchildren: Joey, Lilah Mae, and Arthur, and many nieces and nephews. Patsey was preceded in death by her father Ned Bradford Ellis, mother Esther McDowell Ellis, brother John, sisters Helen, Mary, JoAnn, and Eva, and the reunited love of her life, Robert. Per Patsey's wishes, she will be cremated and buried with her father and mother in Fairview Cemetery. A memorial/life celebration will be held at 11:00 AM at The Comins Community Church on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
