Patricia A. Edwards (Socia)

Patricia A. (Socia) Edwards, age 52, of New Haven, MI, formerly of Mio, passed away Monday, November 9, 2009, at her home. Visitation on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 4-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan; and again from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 11AM on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Lashley Funeral Home with Evangelist James Kratz officiating. Interment at Kittle Cemetery, Mio.
Patricia was born on August 21, 1957 in Mt. Clemens, MI to Elmer and Olivia (Camacho) Socia. She moved to Mio at the age of 13 in 1970. She graduated from Fairview High School with the Class of 1975. After graduation, she attended Kirtland Community College. She moved to Mt. Clemens in 1978; and worked for the Lionel Trains Factory in Chesterfield. Patricia was a member of the New Apostolic Church in New Baltimore, MI. She will be remembered as a very kind and gentle person who enjoyed reading, surfing the Internet, traveling, watching birds, watching Harrison Ford movies, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She learned to adapt to the limitations of her debilitating illness without complaint.
Surviving are her sister Karen (James) Gilbert of Chesterfield Township, MI; her brother Glenn (Sharon) Socia of Dewey, AZ; and her nieces and nephews: Jamia, Jennifer, Matthew, and Erin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
